Five Star Plantation
Five Star Plantation covers 5,000 acres of east central Alabama's broom sage fields and longleaf pine forests. The land has been operated as a hunting preserve since 1919 and many of the historical buildings on site date back before then. Horshoe Bend Natl' Military Park Museum
The 2,040 acre National Military Park is dedicated to the memory of U.S. Soldiers and Creek Nation Indians who died in the Battle of Horseshoe Bend on March 27, 1814. The visitor center and museum depicts the period of the battle and explains the equipment used by the soldiers and Creek Indians.
